William B. Beloved husband of Laura A. (Nee: Westcott) Schackel. Loving father of Brian (Krista Walterman) and Courtney (Shane Ochs) Schackel. Dear brother of Diane Schackel- Wingate. Caring brother-in-law of Donnie (Debbie Montgomery) and Mike Westcott. Devoted uncle of Carrie (Joe) Morano, Chris (Angela Nee: Miller)and Scott (Tricia Fulton) Wingate and loving Great Uncle of Ryan, Luke & Andrew Morano. Also survived by numerous other family and friends. Bill passed away on Aug. 5th, 2015 at the age of 53. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Aug. 9th from 3pm until 6pm at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 451-8800. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, Aug 10th at 10:30am held at St. Teresa of Avila Church. I worked with Bill at Cincom for many years and we always had some great talks. He sure loved his family and was very proud of his kids. He'd show me dirt bike videos and pictures of his kids and you couldn't keep the smile from his face. Many times I just had to stop in late at night to pick something up and we'd end up talking forever. We'll all miss him here. I'm very sorry that I missed the chance to meet you and tell you all this in person It's Monday today and I already miss his laugh!

Bill, you will be greatly missed by everyone. Courtney, brian, and Laura you are always in my thoughts and hearts. I love you guys and know your dad is always watching over you guys.
