Richard "Dick" Anthony, 79, of Cincinnati, passed away suddenly Saturday, January 9th, 2016 while attending a retreat at the Jesuit Spiritual Center in Milford, Ohio. He was surrounded by friends and clergy at the time of his passing. He was born on July 22nd, 1936 in San Pedro, California. Son of the late Robert and Caroline (Nee: Sellmeyer) Scott. Survived by his sister, Gertrude (Nee: Scott) Tout of Cincinnati, Ohio. Also survived by his nephew Jeffrey Tout and nieces Barbara (Nee: Tout) Rohrmeier and Mari (Nee: Tout) Ehrat and two generations of grand nieces and nephews. Dick graduated from Elder High School, class of 1955, where he played football and won two state championships: http://www.elderhs.org. After high school, Dick served in the United States Navy and from 1955 to 1957, was a boiler man 3rd class onboard the destroyer USS Rich DD/DDE-820: http://www.ussrich.org/. After the Navy, Dick became a certified master plumber and was the proud owner of Dick Scott Plumbing in Cincinnati Ohio for 59 years. Dick was a Free Mason of the North Bend Lodge #346. Dick was a sportsman, he loved to fish and hunt. In his later years, Dick enjoyed traveling by boat and by train all over North America with friends. He also loved raising cattle and working on his farm in Southern Indiana. Visitation will be held Friday, January 15th from 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Radel Funeral Home at 650 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45233, 513-451-8880. Mass will follow the visitation and will be held at 12:00 Noon at Saint Vincent De Paul Church, 4026 River Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45204. Interment services will occur after the mass and will be held in the chapel at Old St. Joseph's Cemetery, W 8th St & Seton Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio.

Dick was a larger than life kind of guy. I got to work with him for a few years at the Sedamsville CDC. He truly cared about the folks of his neighborhood where he grew up...especially the kids. He was a kind and generous man and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.
