Boyd Allen, 76 years old, passed away on March 6, 2016 surrounded by his family. Loving and devoted husband of Dorothy (nee Bruce) Thomas, beloved father of Greg (Kathy) Thomas, Michelle (Kevin) Keppel and Gary (Judy) Bledsoe. Cherished papaw to Nick (Kate) Thomas, Zack (Danielle) Thomas, Ashley (Ryan) Keppel, Morgan Schewene and Karley Keppel and great grandpa to Baby Girl Schewene. Dear Brother of Opal Patrick and Pete Thomas. Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Myrtle (nee Sego) Thomas, Sister, Mabel Elam, and Brothers, Forest Thomas and Aaron Thomas. Boyd was loved and cherished by all his cousins, nieces, nephews and all that knew him. He was born on November 11, 1939 in Combs, Kentucky. He was a member for 49 years with the Western Hills-Cheviot Masonic Lodge, a former Commander of the DAV, the Ametuer Radio Club (KC8IVH), the American Legion, Model A Club, the Tri-State Research & Recovery Assoc. and a Kentucky Colonel. He served in the US Army and the Kentucky Air National Guard. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Combs, Kentucky.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 4 to 7 pm with a Masonic Service to follow.
A military service will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 12 pm to 2 pm at the Taylor Ridge Baptist Church in Whitley City, McCreary County, Kentucky.
Any memorial donations can be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati www.hospiceofcincinnati.org or the Taylor Ridge Baptist Church, Whitley City, Kentucky.
