Dearest Wernke family. I grew up with you, I knew each of you as best friends. Many a night, our families together, my dad and your dad working on a project. Your mom, Eve, or better know as Evie Sucker by my baby sister Kelly who received a sucker each and every time your mom saw her, standing and talking with my mom, and laughing with her sparkling eyes. She was a beautiful soul, a kind person, who truly cared about us. I loved her, and I love each of you and hold you dearly in my memory. Much love to you, and Heaven has received another beautiful soul. Lori Davenport

Was so sad to hear from my best friend Lynn on the death of her mom. My heart hurts for my dear friend and her entire family. A big part of who we are today we owe to our mom's. Their sense of style, love of family and a devotion to our dad's is something Lynn and I share. She will be missed but the memories and stories will keep her close by forever. Much love and warm hugs, Kath

I am saddened to learn of the passing of Evie. Many many years ago I babysat for the Wernke children when we all lived on Hull Avenue. I always looked forward to watching such well-behaved and attractive, fun children. Evie and Jim were the best. Evie was beautiful, graceful, and happy. She cared deeply about Jim and her children. What a wonderful opportunity I had to know her and the whole Wernke family. I don't know if you remember me but I could never forget all of you. Please accept my sympathies on the passing of Evie. We all have great memories to carry us along.

Evie, She was such a beautiful kind soul inside and out. It was my great pleasure to take care of her for 30 years. We laughed at every visit. She was like one of my favorite aunts that I love dearly! She will be truly missed In my life, and at our salon. We all adored her as well as her hubby Jim. I know she's a bright white light flying up in heaven as an angel! We are wishing you blessings and healing for all of your hearts and all of your families for the loss of this beautiful woman. With great love to you All, Pegge Schneider & Tom Schneider and The BackStreet Studio Family! 💛💛💛
