Barry N. Passed away at the Cleveland Clinic September 1, 2016. He was extremely proud to be a Marine and he served his country honorably in the Vietnam War. He was the self-made, amazingly talented, and visionary CEO of Carespring Health Care Management, where he inspired everyone to care for others. He had a huge heart, unbelievable optimism and most importantly, he saw the good in everyone he met. Barry was proud to be born on John Wayne's birthday, May 26, 1950. He is preceded in death by his mother Elinor Willet and his father Max Bortz. He is survived by the love of his life Anne Podojil Bortz; his children Alison (Patrick) O'Keefe, Max Bortz, Jacob Bortz, Hannah Bortz, Michael Bortz, Mia Bortz and his favorite four-legged friend Riley and his caregiver Cathy Hamblen. He also leaves behind many family members and friends. In memory of him, Be like Barry by being kind to others no matter who they are. Barry was the beneficiary of an organ donor, which gave him a second chance to be with us and continue his work. To honor his memory, please consider and encourage becoming an organ donor.
