Janet Lee Hermes

Hermes
Janet Lee “Jimmie” died November 11, 2016 at the too young age of 77 years. She was the loving wife of Ed Hermes for 56 years and best friend for 61 years. Janet is the mother of Steve and Chris, sister of Debbie (Ron) Clifton, grandmother of Jessica Hermes who gave her the nick name of Jimmie because she couldn’t say grandmother. Terri Hottinger, the mother of Jessica, has been a “rock” and a strong shoulder for us to lean on. Upon graduation from Hughes High School Janet worked at Procter and Gamble. While the boys were in Clifton School she was secretary to the principle, allowed her to keep an eye on their education and behavior. Sometimes to their dismay. She was the executive assistant to the CEO of Burke Marketing. She served on the board of Concours Foundation and has had a 39 year affiliation with Cincinnati Concours d’Elegance. A member of Executive Women International Club of Cincinnati, Art Museum, Cincinnati Zoo, Civic Garden Center, Western Hills Country Club and Arthritis Foundation. Janet was a part of our existence that we assumed would always be here for us, now we must pick up where she left off. As Janet wanted, there was a small, private gathering of local relatives Nov. 14, 2016 at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd, 451-8800. Condolences can be sent to Radel Website, www.radelfuneral.com, or to our home, 5741 Beech Grove Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45233. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Chris Hermes Fund, Cincinnati Concours Foundation, 347 Stanley Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio 45226.
