William “Bill” P. beloved husband of the late Nancy Thomas. Wonderful father of Laura (David) Pictor and Mark Thomas. Adoring grandfather of Rosalie. Grateful son of the late Peter and Helen Thomas. Dear brother and lifelong friend of John P. Thomas. Special companion of his four legged friend “Sammi”. Caring brother-in-law of Carol and Joyce Pennington and the late John Pennington. Special “Uncle Boo” to Jody (Craig) Ballas and Jeff (Linda) Pennington. Retired from National Underwriter Company. During his long career he formed many lifelong friendships and traveled extensively. A great source of pride and joy for Bill was his work with Sr. Elizabeth Mary Fields in the early years to help establish Springer School as a learning place for children with learning disabilities. A very special thanks to Dr. Ruth Allendoerfer and the staff of Western Hills Retirement Village who provided him the best possible quality of life for the last five years of his life. Also, thanks to the Christ Hospital and staff for their devotion to him throughout the years and especially during his last days. Passed away on March 5, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Visitation will be Thurs. March 9th from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service 1:00 P.M. at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 451-8800. My sincere condolences to the family of "Big Bill" as we used to called him at the National Underwriter Company. Bill was a really nice guy and the world has lost a heck of a guy. Heaven has truly gained a soldier.
