Constance Jean (Nee:Phillips), loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, "second mother" and friend died March 12, 2017.
Connie was born on June 4, 1941 in Cincinnati, OH to Arthur and Frances Phillips (Nee: McCauslin). Connie is survived by her husband Wesley Dillon Sr., her children Greg (Gina), Michell (Mark Adkins), Angel, Tommy (Mandy), Tanya (Roger Lee), Kathy (Randy Elmore), Wes Jr. (Sam), her sister Carolyn as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Frances, her brothers Bob, Mike and Art and her sister Jackie.
Family was the most important thing in the life to Connie. She didn't view family only as something you were born into but rather she viewed herself as mother to an extended family. If you came into contact with Connie she had a way of making you feel like you were one of her own. She loved cooking huge meals and entertaining the children of the neighborhood. She offered them safe harbor, a warm meal and a shoulder to cry on when they needed it. She was a beautician by trade but wore several "hats" throughout her life. When her children were small, she stayed at home and took care of the family even while doing her beautician work on the side. Later, she worked as a Cook Manager at the Cincinnati Public Schools Board of Education. After leaving CPS, she returned to home full time and helped take care of her mother and helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren and continued being a "first" and "second" mom to her many children. Even with everything that was going on with her from a health standpoint, she was always concerned first for the well being of those that she loved.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM until the service begins at 1:00 PM at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45233. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
May the road rise up to meet you
May the wind always be at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face:
the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
We love and we miss you Mom! You will live on in our minds and our hearts forever!

There is no greater loss than the passing of your mother. She is our everything and the knowledge that we will never hold her hand, kiss her cheek, or just look at her beautiful face is heartbreaking. Take splice in the times you shared and the love that will continue to grow throughout your family. I'll keep you all in my prayers.

Losing someone you love is hard but it is much more pain when it is your mom. I am sorry that you all are going through this. I will pray for all of you and pray you find strength and peace. Love!
