Alvin A. Beloved husband of the late Mariann (Nee: Gindling) Merk. Loving father of Nancy (Ron) Papania, Sharon (Randy) Dance, and Carole (Tony) Willenborg, Hank (Michele), Denny (Sheila), Kevin (Lynne), Gary (Robin) and Doug (Missy) Merk. Proud grandfather of 28 and great-grandfather of 27. Dear brother of Rich (late Mary Ann), Dr. Jim (Rita), Chuck (Lin) Merk, the late Marian (late: Paul) Wernke and Jerry (Anita) Merk . Al will be missed by his dear friend Rosemary. He passed away on March 17, 2017 at the age of 89, surrounded by family. Visitation will be held at Radel Funeral Home, (451-8800) 650 Neeb Rd. Mon. Mar. 20, 2017, from 4:00PM until 7:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tues. Mar. 21, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Simon Church, 825 Pontius Rd. Cincinnati, OH. Alvin Merk Family I've been away awhile and most of my memories of your dad revolve around your summer visits to Lancaster or my family's trips to Cincy many years ago. These nostalgic memories are full of your dad's humor and his hearty laugh. Even the last time I saw him at mom and dad's 60anniversary celebration, he was making us all laugh. We will all miss him.
