Longtin
Mayduane (Nee: Kiely) beloved wife of Jon P. Longtin. Loving mother of Jon (Julie), David (Tracey) and Lynne (Mike Proctor) Longtin. Devoted grandmother of Sophia, Luke, Sean, Jacob, Matthew, Christopher and Michael. Dear sister of the late John Kiely and sister-in-law to Marlene Kiely. Also survived by numerous other family and friends. Passed away on November 28, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Visitation will be Thurs. Nov. 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 451-8800. Mass of Christian Burial will be Fri. Dec. 1st 11:00 A.M. at St. Vincent DePaul Church, 4026 River Road, 45204.
Mayduane’s greatest passion in life was her family. Along with her husband of 55 years, Mayduane devoted her life to raising her three children. As a mother, she was a constant source of nurturing and encouragement to her children. She was eternally optimistic, and never had an unkind word for anyone. By treating everyone she met with kindness and grace, Mayduane instilled in her children a sense of authenticity and respect for others. She felt blessed and privileged to expand her family when her children married, treating each son- and daughter-in-law as one of her own.
Jon and Mayduane were blessed with seven grandchildren – six boys and one girl. Mayduane was a favorite playmate in their younger years, indulging them to a fault. Grandma simply did not say “no,” much to the chagrin of her grandchildren’s parents. She and Jon constantly took their grandchildren on outings to Cincinnati area landmarks; the Zoo, the Museum Center, and the Newport Aquarium were among their favorite places. She enriched the lives of her grandchildren profoundly, and her loss is felt deeply by all of them.
Mayduane was also a wonderful sister-in-law to Marlene, the surviving spouse of her brother, John, and an adoring aunt to her nieces and nephews and their children. She was also a kind and generous friend. Many who knew Mayduane can point to a gift in their home from her, or remember a kind card sent in a difficult time. She was a truly gracious person, and took far more pleasure in giving than receiving.
In addition to her family and friends, Mayduane had an unparalled love of classical music. Her mother was a classically trained singer and pianist. She and Jon were season- ticket holders to the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra concerts for 45 years, and attended the opera and many other classical music performances in their retirement years. They were also avid subscribers to the Playhouse in the Park.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, 1241 Elm St, Cincinnati, OH 45202 or the Cincinnati Right-to-Life, 1802 W. Galbraith Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45239.

Mayduane was a truly wonderful, caring person. She treated me and my family as part of her own. We shared a love for the opera and she made sure I had the opportunity to go to Cincinnati Music Hall at least once a year. I will miss her very much.
