Robert L. Sr., beloved husband of 58 years to Patricia Barnes (nee Traum). Loving father of Vernon Parker, Robert Jr. (Caroline), Kimberly Kane (Mike), Linda Fultz (Glenn), Michael (Trina) and Melissa Barnes. Survived by grandchildren Jamie, Kari, Nicholas, Jonathon, Holly, Brittany, Darrell, Chandler, Ashley, Skyler, Hannah and preceded in death by Robert Barnes III. Also survived by great-grandchildren Zachary, Luke, Elaina, Robby, Noelle, Emilia, Michael (Yogi) and good friend Jeanine Wellbaum. Bob passed away unexpectedly at home August 16, 2018 at the age of 79. He was a season ticket holder and avid follower of Elder basketball and football for the last 38 years as well as the proud business owner of Reliable Offset Service until retirement. While in retirement he enjoyed spending time with his son’s dog Jasper. Known as “Pops” to all family and friends he never knew a stranger. He was there for anyone at any given time. Visitation will be held at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, Cincinnati, OH 45233 on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5-7 pm. A Mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 810 Neeb Road. A celebration of life will be held following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elder High School Athletic Association, 3900 Vincent Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45205 in memory of Robert Barnes Sr.
