James W. beloved husband of the late Pauline C. (Nee: Porter) Rainey. Loving father of Jim (Kathleen) Rainey, Danny (Vicky) Rainey, Ernette (Tom) Cosco and the late Emerson (Marissa) Rainey. Devoted grandfather of Lara, John, Sara, Kelli and Christina. Cherished great-grandfather of Larren, Mack, Olivia, Sam, Makenzie, Jack and Zoey. Passed away on August 1, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Visitation will be Sunday August 9th from 2:00 unitl 6:00 P.M. at the Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Road, 451-8800. Funeral services will be Monday August 10th 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.

Dear Jim and Kate, Lara, John and Sara, We were sorry to hear about Big Jim's passing. Because he was such a constant presence in your lives, we understand what a profound loss it is for you to be without him. Take comfort knowing you were devoted to him and you tirelessly cared for him, all the time dreading the day you would be without him. You enjoyed him to the end. We are honored that we were able to spend time with and get to know Big Jim. He was a delight and a treasure to us, as he was to so many people. We will miss his quick wit, contagious laugh, humor and discussions of current events. That twinkle in his eyes revealed his zest for life. We honor him for his service to our country.
