Schroeder Zapf
Mary K, 85, passed away at home on September 24, 2018, after a long illness. She was a beloved wife of the late, Charles Schroeder and loving mother to Gregg (Lynne) Zapf, Terri Holt and Lorri (Gary) Scott, cherished grandmother to Jason (Mandy) Welsh, Eric (Amy) Scott, Kylie (Cody) Hall and Evan Holt, loving great grandmother to Crystal, Derek, Ashlee, Henry, Brody, Jordan and Evie. Beloved sister to the late Josephine Steidle. She was loved by many for her kind, caring and generous ways, that were never ending.
Mary K started her career in 1967, with Provident Bank. She retired in 2004, with 37 years of dedicate service. She was a hard worker, who always took pride in everything she did. One of her favorite things to do, was to bake. She could bake anything from pineapple upside down cake to birthday cakes to wedding cakes. Always done to perfection and tasted yummy too! Our family gatherings would not be complete without mom having her camera in hand, to take those Kodak moments! Another love of hers was gardening and flowers. She definitely had a green thumb. Here’s a little poem just for her…
If Roses grow in heaven,
Lord then pick a bunch for me.
Place them in my Mother’s arms
and tell her they’re from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her,
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek
and hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy,
I do it every day,
but there’s an ache within my heart
that will never go away.
Visitation will be held on September, 27, from 11-12, services immediately following at Radel Funeral Home 650 Neeb Rd Cincinnati, Ohio 45233 513 451-8800
Donations can be made to American Heart Association and Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation.

Mommy,
You are a very special person to me. Your constant care, love & devotion to all
of us was unparalleled by far. You were our biggest advocate unto the death against our "foes". Then you knew how to kiss our boo-boos away when we fell down. Then kissed our cheeks until we got back into the game again.
I will love you my "Muhti" forever. You made this world a better place.
How blessed we all are for having known you!

My brother and I were blessed to have a caring, sweet and a double of our mom in Aunt Mary. Both ladies were giving, gracious and mindful of others. They went through life with the motto-Never having to say I'm sorry through their actions and words. And Terri, from both of us, Thank you for being the stalwart for the family by caring for your mom for years. We know your mom was aware of your daily love, dedication and the time you put your life on hold for her. And so it is written in the Book of Life, it has been recorded with our Lord. Your good works. Love & Light
