John C I., of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, age 51, died on April 21, 2019, after a ten month with Lung Cancer.
John, also known as Johnny or Popcod, was the fifth child of Charles R. and Phyllis J. (Amburgry) Thacker. John was born on December 15,1967 in Perry County, Kentucky. John spent his childhood between Hazard, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. John met his wife, Jessica, at the age of nine in Cincinnati, Ohio and were married in 1992 and have been married for 27 years. John and Jessica share eight children and eighteen grandchildren.
John was a hard-working man who provided for his famoly. He worked at the old Kahn's Meat Processing Center in Cincinnati until it closed then moved on to Givaudan and was a filter/ filler/ compounded. He worked for Givaudan for 25 years.
John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed cheering on his favorite teams of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals. He was a big Star Wars and Superman fan. He loved to fish, play poker and getting tattoos. John was a risk taker who jumped out of a plane with his sister, Lela, for her 50th Birthday.
John leaves behind his wife, Jessica (Nelson) Thacker, whom he credited with turning his life around and saving him and givingvhis life purpose. His children; Megan Hare, Stacey (Chris) Hafner, Amber (Derek) Sullivan, Justin (Olivia) Evans, Joseph (Christine) Siemering, John C. Thacker II (Brittany), Kyrstin (Jacob) Thacker, Jesse J. Thacker. Grandchildren; Kayla, Kaylie, Gabby, Paytin, Madison, Faith, Aaiden, Cash, Brynnlee, RemyJo, Neon, Kenzie, Lucas, Brycen, Blair, Hayden, and William. Siblings; Lela (Mikey) Ingram, Tony Thacker, Charles ( Stephanie) Thacker, Melissa (Bobby) Howard and Sheila Thacker.
Preceding John in death were his parents; Charles and Phyllis Thacker, father-in law James W. Nelson, his grandson Loden Daniel Richard Green, sister Kimberly Thacker and Granny Allie.
Visitation will take place on Thurs. Apr. 25th from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at the Radel Funeral Home 650 Neeb Rd. 451-8800. Funeral services will be held on Fri. at 12:00pm at the funeral home. www.radelfuneral.com

He was one of my cousins I didn't know hem that well but I love hem he will be missed by alot of people what I know of hem he was a great man who loved his family he was a amazing husband father Grandpa brother son nephew and cousin he was a lovable person I love you Superman fly high rest in peace
