Carol worked for me at CBT and always made my job so much easier. When she was promoted to a manager, we worked well together. We were more than co-workers; we were the best of friends. I will always treasure the fond memories I have of the wonderful times we had together. She took me to my first rock concert in Louisville. We even took a fabulous resort vacation together in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Since I'm gay, sharing a room was no problem! After she moved to New Jersey, I often flew up for a fun weekend of Broadway shows and dinners in Manhattan. Yes, these are the happy times I will always associate with Carol, who made my life so much better for having known her.

Christie, I am so sorry for your loss. Moms are so special and can never be replaced once they're gone. Know that she is shining down on you now, giving you her love and strength from a better place. Peace be with you.
