Wesley J. Dillon

Dillon

Wesley Jenkins Sr., loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend died December 28, 2019.

Wes was born on October 14, 1938 in Huntington, WV to Rass and Mary Dillon (Nee:May). Wes is survived by his children Kathy (Randy Elmore), Wes Jr. (Sam), Greg (Gina Phillips), Michell (Mark Adkins), Angel Howard, Tommy (Mandy), Tanya (Roger Lee), his sister Donna as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Connie, his parents Rass and Mary, and his brothers Tommy and Dwane.

Anyone who knew Wes couldn’t help but to love him. He presented a very hard, tough exterior but he was very fun to be around. He was a roofer by trade. He worked hard and lived hard for most of his life. There were two sides to Wes. The first side is who he showed by the things he said. However, to really know the true persona of who Wes was is revealed by what he did. Wes was always listening, even when you thought he didn’t seem interested. When you would least expect it, whether it was a gift, money, or something he would build or fix for you, he gave you exactly what you needed. In other words, he didn’t offer lip service. Everyone who knew Wes knows that his lips were quick-witted and sometimes filled with sarcasm that would usually cause you to smile from ear to ear, but rather his love manifested itself with action. He didn’t do things to be seen or appreciated. It didn’t matter to him if you liked him. He did it because he loved his family and friends and his “gift of action” is how he best knew to express that love.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 5:00 PM until the service begins at 7:00 PM at Radel Funeral Home, 650 Neeb Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45233. Burial will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Cemetary.

We love and we miss you Dad! Your memory will live on in our hearts and our minds forever!
