John Wm. (aka “blue eyes”) 80 years old, left this earth on May 4, 2012 surrounded by his family and is now in the loving arms of Jesus. His wife of 42 years (Alice) preceded him in death. He leaves his five children: Sandy (Bob) Parsons, John (Vickie) Gundrum, Edna (Bob) Willmann, Pam (Harry) Hall, Trish (Dave) Wall. 12 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Timothy, Eric, Amber, Jennifer, Sherry, Steven, Patricia, Samantha, Melissa, Melinda, Rob and 17 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Harvey, Edward, and Earl Gundrum. Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. John retired from Wm. Powell Valve Co. after 44 years of employment. A member of Heritage Community Church for 46 years (where he served as a deacon). John had a love of animals and was a avid gardener. However, his biggest passion was his family. John will be remembered for his cheery disposition and his willingness to help others in need. And of course, his beautiful blue eyes. A celebration of his life is planned for Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6 pm at Heritage Community Church at 4431 Glenway Avenue.
